The man Who Laughs
Dmitry is a popular actor, a star of action movies. The public loves him for his macho image with an impassive face. One day, Dmitry receives an offer from Sergei, a stern but very wealthy businessman from Siberia, to star in a crime drama about the 1990s as the lead role of a cold-blooded killer. Sergei offers Dmitry's agent a fee ten times higher than usual. They agree.
On set, Dmitry is accidentally wounded by a buckshot. After a simple surgery, he is ready to return to the frame, but encounters an unexpected side effect: now he is constantly smiling, and any emotions are expressed through laughter. Dmitry has no chance to stop filming and "disappoint" Sergei, who clearly knows firsthand what kind of movie he is making.
