There are victories that change the course of history. Victories of human spirit, of entire nations, of humanity. This is the story of one such victory. Of a legendary coach who made the impossible happen. He had a dream – to make the Soviet national basketball team the greatest in the world – and he made it come true. The pinnacle of his career was the gold medal victory over the United States at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. He achieved the unimaginable, toppling the American basketball team, unbeaten for 36 years, from its pedestal. When losing a game meant defeat for his country, when he had to go out and fight no matter what, he gave everything he had to help his team prevail over their opponents. He knew that he'd created the strongest team on the planet. First, he made his players believe in it. Then, he proved it to the world.
