Where The White Cranes Dance
In Yakutia, in the 1960s, Ivan, a young boy, reunites with his family after six years of hospitalization due to a spinal injury he suffered as a baby. However, the joy of their reunion is short-lived: his mother dies in childbirth shortly after his return. To comfort his children, the father tells them that their mother has transformed into a Siberian crane, a bird considered sacred, and now lives in a distant land where she dances with her graceful companions. Ivan begins to dream of seeing the cranes' dance and reconnecting with his mother, now reincarnated as a bird.
